Short Bio: 

Florian Maier (31) joined the LiMux project in 2005. Ever since then, the IT all-rounder
was responsible for the development of the base client, it's system- & configuration
management and deployment solutions. Since 2007 he has the responsibility for a highly
motivated team of developers. He uses free software for more than a decade.

Talk Abstract: 

Within the LiMux project, the City of Munich increases the use of free software
on the 14,000 administration desktops. The presentation explains our experiences,
including but not limited to the challenges involved with customizing a Linux
Desktop for usage in a large governmental infrastructure.
