Talk Abstract:
Gjs allows developers to write GNOME-based software in Javascript. It's based on Mozilla's SpiderMonkey Javascript engine. Gjs is used on the development of interesting projects such as GNOME Shell, The Board, and the litl OS.
In this talk, I'll demonstrate Gjs' main features, discuss a bit its strengths and weaknesses, and present some of the best practices when writing Gjs-based code.
